Reduce Meat Consumption Your and Your Carbon Footprint: French Toast

Just because you’re doing something good for the planet, and yourself, doesn’t mean it has to be boring. Sweeten up your Meatless Monday by bringing this easy, french toast recipe to life while reducing your carbon footprint and meat consumption! Add a scoop of ice cream on top of French toast and enjoy.

Here’s the recipe:

Ingredients:
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 cup milk (whole milk or almond milk – your choice)
4 slices Challah bread
1 (or 2 ) scoops of vanilla ice cream (Butter Pecan works, too)
French Toast recipe:
1 . Whisk one egg, vanilla and cinnamon in a bowl. Add milk and stir
2. Soak bread slices in egg mixture, and turn to coat evenly on both sides.
3. Cook bread on a lightly greased skillet on medium heat until browned on both sides.
4. Serve with a scoop, or two of ice cream on top
