Happy sustainable holidays. There IS a silver lining in 2020.

Happy sustainable holidays. There IS a silver lining in 2020.

We can’t mitigate the tragic physical and financial losses from COVID this year. But we can celebrate a few positive wins for the environment:

– 3.6 billion pounds of food that might have been dumped into landfills went straight to feeding people facing hunger in America, thanks to the efforts of Feeding America.
– More than 20 billion plastic bottles were transformed into fiber – with a goal of 30 billion by 2022 – because Unifi found a way to recycle waste in the early 2000s.
– 20 billion pounds of produce that might have gone to waste on farms found its way into the homes of consumers thanks to Imperfect Produce’s sustainable, affordable grocery delivery system.
– Tech giant HP used 82% recyclable materials – much from ocean-bound plastic waste – to create its Elite Dragonfly laptop.

As a team of specialists dedicated to promoting a circular economy, The Miller Group salutes all those who are working toward a cleaner planet. And, to all a sincere wish for a safe and restful holiday, and an amazing 2021.
